Fashion regulations, and the part of Tramaproof that answers each one.
European and national rules now decide which data a fashion brand holds about its products and its supply chain: the Digital Product Passport, the French environmental cost, packaging, environmental claims, sustainability reporting and due diligence. For each one: what it asks, from when, and which Tramaproof module collects the data it needs.
ESPR
The ecodesign regulation that creates the Digital Product Passport. The textile delegated act, which will set the fields for apparel, is expected in 2027.
Digital Product Passport
The record each product will carry, opened from a code on the label and available for at least the product's expected lifetime.
Ecobalyse and the French environmental cost
A single figure in impact points, computed with the State's Ecobalyse method. From 1 October 2026 it must accompany any environmental score on a garment sold in France.
PPWR, packaging
Each piece of packaging needs an EU declaration of conformity from its manufacturer. If the packaging is made to your design and carries your name, the manufacturer is your brand.
EUDR and leather
Bovine hides and leather left the deforestation regulation on 18 September 2026 and need no due-diligence statement under it. Their inclusion will be reconsidered in the 2030 review.
Green claims
A sustainability label now needs a certification scheme or a public authority behind it, and a generic claim such as «eco-friendly» needs proof. The Green Claims Directive itself is blocked, not withdrawn.
CSRD and CSDDD
After Omnibus I, sustainability reporting (CSRD) applies above €450 million and 1,000 employees, and due diligence (CSDDD) from 2029 above 5,000 employees and €1.5 billion.
Italian eco-score (SNET)
Bill S. 1690 would create an A to E textile eco-score and count the passport among its requirements. It defines no method, so no class can be computed today.
Every date in one table
The regulatory timeline lists each date these rules set, and says which are law and which are still indicative.
