The textile rules are not written yet. Why start now?
Because the fields will change, and the supply chain will not. Bringing tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers on board takes months, and the delegated act arrives with a transition period already set. A brand with a mapped chain will be adding fields; a brand without one will be looking for a chain.
My suppliers will never use new software.
They are not asked to. They receive an email and open one screen that asks one thing at a time, in their own language. They create no account, choose no password and install nothing.
We already have a product management system. Is that not enough?
A product system structures the data you already hold. The data the passport is missing is precisely what you do not hold: it sits in your suppliers' documents, and in their suppliers' documents.
Cannot our consultancy do this?
A consultancy produces the dataset once, as a project. The passport has to stay correct and available for the expected life of the garment, and it has to survive your company. That is a system that keeps running, not a deliverable.
Does the AI invent data?
No extracted value reaches a passport without a person confirming it, and every confirmed value stays linked to the document it came from. The engine reads and proposes; the confirmation is human by obligation, not out of caution.
Can my competitors see my suppliers?
No. Access is segregated by role: a supplier sees their own request and nothing else, and only what the regulation asks for reaches the public passport. A supplier's own sources are not visible to your other suppliers.
What happens to the passports if we stop using Trama?
They keep being served. The regulation is written so the passport survives the company, so closing an account cannot delete them. The permanence page also explains who pays for that tail.
Will you give me a sustainability score to put on the product?
No. Trama produces no scores of its own, and from 27 September 2026 displaying a sustainability mark that is neither certified nor set by a public authority is an unfair commercial practice in every case. We compute indicators with published methods, and we name them.
Where does our data live?
In the European Union. The database is in Dublin, the documents are in Milan, and the models run on European profiles. The screens you log into never pass through a node outside the Union.
What does it cost?
There is an annual fee with a number of passports included, a price per passport beyond that, and a one-off setup fee. The figures are not public yet: at this stage we discuss them case by case with design partners.
