What a cookie is, in one sentence

A cookie is a small text your browser keeps for a site and sends back on every visit, so the site can remember something between one page and the next.

The two this site sets

  • trama_locale — the language you read the site in. On your first visit it is chosen from the country of your connection; after that it is whatever you last chose. Holds “en” or “it” and nothing else. Lasts one year.
  • trama_consent — the choice you make in the cookie banner: which categories you accepted and when. Without it the banner would ask again on every page. Lasts six months.

Both are set by tramaproof.com and read by nobody else. Neither identifies you, and neither is used to follow you across other sites.

The two categories you can switch

  • Measurement — how the site is used, in aggregate: which pages are read, from which country, on which device. No such cookie is set today.
  • Marketing — advertising and the pixels that measure it. No such cookie is set today.
